Girly Bits Stormy Skies & Darling Diva Polish May the Force Be With You

Good evening!  I'm tired.  Mentally and mentally. Oops, did I repeat myself?  See, my brain is fried.  Before it turns completely to mush I wanted to share a quick post of a mani that I absolutely adored!  You'll notice my nails are a bit longer than they are now and that's because I wore this mani a couple weeks back.  This was actually a mani I painted to wear for a race.  It was a gloomy, rainy day and it poured on all the racers pretty hard before the beginning so we went into in wet and cold.  But within the first 5 minutes the rain stopped, and the sun peeked in and out of clouds onto the hills and bay.  It was a gorgeous course and I ended up taking 2nd in my age group (which was unexpected).  So I'd like to think this mani featuring 2 of my dear friends (Carrie - Darling Diva Polish  and Pam - Girly Bits) polishes brought me some good luck!  I'll need them again next weekend as I'll be lacing up my shoes for another race!  So let's jump in and check out what I've got for you!  Oh, and both of these polishes are still currently available in the shops!

I started with Girly Bits Stormy Skies.  It was the perfect shade of blue with a hint of grey and a touch of shimmer for the weather.  I used 2 coats for a nice, opaque base.  I hadn't used this in a long while and forgot what a gorgeous color it is.  The formula and application were both awesome too.

Then I topped it with Darling Diva Polish May the Force Be With You, a rainbow flakie topper.  This is a fun and beautiful topper that's full of color!  And it's got a great payoff - I only used 1 coat for an ample amount of rainbow flakie goodness.  Formula and application were both perfect.  I opted for a matte topcoat instead of a glossy one because I felt it would show off the flakies better.  Boy was I right!  I love how it turned out!

Here's a little collage I shared on my personal Instagram/Facebook pages to show my race results, swag and snacks.  This series of races is super fun and it's probably the best snack layout I've ever seen at the end of a race.  I was in carbohydrate, sweet and salty heaven!
