Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Once More With Feeling (Partial Review)

Good morning beauties.  I have some lovely holos to share with you today.  A few years ago Julie from Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer released the Once More With Feeling collection - a set of holos inspired by the characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  They are all so gorgeous and have this ethereal glow to them.  Well they were so popular that Julie decided to re-release them with a few new colors too!  I have 3 of the re-released shades to share with you and you can also check out my old post featuring some of the others HERE.  The Once More With Feeling (OMWF) is available now and you can pick up full size bottles for $12 each or the entire set (which includes the freebie 5X5) for $96.  Minis of the individual bottles are also available for $6 each.  You know what time it is?  Time to look at swatches!  Yay!

Up first is Tea Is Soothing.  I Wish To Be Tense.  This polish is based on Rupert Giles.  It's described as a "blue linear holo with an ice blue flash."  This polish has that same look and feel as Dorkhead?! You Slash Me With Your Words!, a gorgeous soft holo that has an amazing lit from within glow to it. I found the formula and application both great and used 2 coats of Tea Is Soothing for full coverage.  It dried ever so slightly dull so I added a layer of topcoat to show off that glowy shine.

Next I have I'm Going Through Some...Changes.  This one is inspired by Oz, the werewolf.  It's described as a "brown linear holo with copper shimmer."  Totally a color that I would pick for a werewolf!  I loved how this one looked with my skin tone and found it a very wearable brown.  Of course anything holo is a win for me.  The formula and application were both fabulous, smooth and easy to apply.  I used 1 coat of Changes and 1 layer of topcoat to keep the finish glossy.

And finally I have The Last Time I Tortured Someone, They Didn't Even *Have* Chainsaws.  I don't remember this from the first collection so I'm guessing it's a new addition?  But don't quote me on that because I haven't seen much info on it (and haven't read any other blog posts so I could stay unbiased in my personal thoughts and opinions).  Whether a re-release or a new addition it's gorgeous and turned out to be my favorite of the 3 I was sent to review.  Chainsaws is based on Angelus, Angel without a soul and it's described as a "black linear holo with with red shimmers and midnight red flakies."  Stunning!  The red shimmer really shines through in both direct sun and shade pictures. I used 1 coat of Chainsaws for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat for shine.
